About us...
The Department of Architecture at East Los Angeles College is the most extensive in Southern California in terms of course offerings, programs, and faculty.
The department is committed to provide its students with the most relevant and highest level of professional education in the field of architecture and to prepare them to the societal, cultural, and environmental challenges that they will face in their careers.
Since 1945 generations of students have studied architecture at our college. Many have continued their career goals as university transfers and some have joined the work force in architecture or related fields.
These past two years (Spring 2017 and Spring 2016), over 42 of our students transferred to university: USC, CalPoly Pomona, Woodbury University, New School... to name a few. We believe that we have the highest transfer of any community college architectural program.
We have approximately 300 students per semester and our faculty includes five full-time instructors, a Model Shop Coordinator, an Information Technology Specialist, and several adjunct faculty
East Los Angeles College is located in Monterey Park in the San Gabriel Valley, minutes from downtown Los Angeles and Pasadena.
